Material and fabric structure of waterproof breathable membrane:

The waterproof breathable membrane has the functions of waterproofing, breathability, and thermal insulation. The realization of these functions is determined by the structural material and fabric of the waterproof breathable membrane.

Construction principle: The waterproof and breathable membrane is composed of polymer material + polyolefin microporous membrane + polymer material through hot pressing. The process is domestically pioneered and internationally advanced. The polyolefin microporous membrane has excellent breathability, and the product is durable and has a long service life. The polyolefin microporous membrane is not only resistant to corrosion and acid and alkali, but also has excellent elongation properties. It can rebound quickly after being pierced by a nail to increase the sealing performance. Its waterproof and breathable performance can allow water vapor in the room or insulation layer to pass out, and when the water vapor condenses into water droplets when it encounters cold, the water droplets will also be blocked outside the breathable film. This ensures the performance of the interior and the building, as well as thermal insulation. It is a new high-tech energy-saving and environmentally friendly material.


Its working principle is that the breathable working principle can be divided into two types: micropores and hydrophilic groups. Since the minimum diameter of water droplets is about 20 microns, while the diameter of water vapor molecules is only about 0.0004 microns, there is a huge difference between the diameters of the two. Water vapor can pass through the microporous membrane through the principle of diffusion. The surface tension of liquid water or water droplets prevents water molecules from passing through, thus preventing water penetration and making the breathable membrane waterproof.
